Mr. Suresh's (PGDM 2008-10 Batch) research paper titled "The impact of economic slowdown on Financial Performance of Indian Corporates" has been selected and published in the AIMA 's Journal for Management & Research (AJMR). His article has been highly appreciated for excellent review done and the language used in the research paper.

| Achieving global leadership through service delivery with the customer in mind was the theme of the two-day Conference on Service Strategies for Global Leadership held at SDMIMD on July 23, 24, 2009. The conference, sequel to the Customer Centricity Conclave held last year, was a part of the activities of the CUSTOMMERCE Center for Service Excellence, an initiative of Custommerce, SDMIMD and Servion Global Solutions. The sessions were highly enriching as it covered a variety of topics related to Service Industry. The conference provided the perfect start for the academic year. HDFC Bank has initiated Joint Certification Program in Retail Banking with premier b-schools across India with an intention to impart key skills in Retail Banking to students. SDMIMD is one of the B-school selected by HDFC Bank to partner in this program. This would enable SDMIMD students to meet industry expectations and familiarize themselves with the organizational culture of Retail Banking.
Prof. Ramesh Venkateswaran, Director, SDMIMD and Mr. Kiran Reddy, RSM-HR-South 2, HDFC Bank signed the MoU on September 15, 2009 to conduct the Joint Certification Program. |

'Samaj Parivarthan' - a theme based fashion show presented by the students of SDMIMD at Yuva Dasara 2009, was an effort to create awareness on the increasing crime rate and youths taking to vice in the relevant society. With a touch of Gandhigiri, the students won over them with a rose.

Pratigam 2009 - The SDMIMD Alumni Meet Pratigam - the Annual Alumni Reunion of SDMIMD was celebrated with much fanfare and enthusiasm, on the 19th & 20th December 2009. The home-coming of our Alumni was something; all SDMites were looking forward to. Ex-students took time off their busy schedules to savour the feeling of nostalgia, immersing themselves in the sweet memories of their Alma Mater. |

"Naissance 2010" - the all India b-school management fest was inaugurated by 'Pop Star of Kannada' Raghu Dixit. The performance by Mr. Dixit mesmerized the audience with his hit songs of Kannada. His rendition of the songs composed by Saint Shishunala Sharief was appreciated by one and all. Over 150 student participants from various b-schools across the country never lagged in enjoying Dixit's live performance.
The 3-Day fest was filled with management games and cultural events filled with fun and frolic of young generation. |
