| Every few years the world faces challenges that force a rethink on existing practices, beliefs and assumptions. The last few years have been one such phase where the turmoil in the world of business and finance has made people wake up to the uncertainties and threats in the modern world. It has been reinforced that for managers and businesses to succeed, in addition to competence, there is no substitute for honesty, integrity and a strong foundation in core values.
We are part of Dharmasthala, an institution that has an eight hundred year history of service to the community and enabling and empowering society based on the above principles. This heritage has been the strength of SDMIMD that has taken us to a position of eminence and respect in a short span of 16 years. At SDMIMD we turnout managers and leaders for society who create, inspire and lead teams to set and achieve demanding standards of performance. We believe that being aggressive and competitive in the rough and tumble of today’s world and yet being ethical and value-driven are not mutually exclusive but in fact highly interdependent. The SDMIMD student plays to win – not at any cost but guided by the principles of fair play, rules, conscience and values. The award-winning institute campus is located in very scenic surroundings in the heritage city of Mysore. This, coupled with the state-of-the-art world-class infrastructure provides an unbeatable environment for learning and personal development for each student. The institute is a truly cosmopolitan community with students from virtually every state of India. This adds to the student experience on campus. Our talented and experienced faculty bring years of high quality teaching and corporate experience to our students. Our programmes are rich in academic content and contextual relevance to contemporary issues of the corporate world and society in general. In addition, we have international tie-ups with reputed universities that open the window of opportunities for our students.
