The journal invites articles with a focus on management and economic issues pertinent to the Indian economy and corporate sector around the central platform of the journal. Cross-cultural studies and studies with a comparative econo-managerial perspective are of course welcome. The primary focus of this journal, as the title suggests would be on issues pertaining to ethics, governance and service delivery and their implication for strategy and policy formulation. These areas have been selected because while they are narrow enough to give a sense of direction to the journal, they are sufficiently broad enough to subsume a variety of issues in the area of Management Science.

SDMIMD attaches a lot of importance to issues like ethics, values and governance. Consequently we will encourage papers in these areas, with a concurrent focus on managerial issues. Service quality is another aspect of management that is of considerable interest to our faculty members. Each issue of the journal may have a particular theme as its focus area, although the broad thrust will be along the lines detailed above.

The journal will be targeted at industry managers and practitioners as prime audience. The articles and papers published would thus aim to meet the needs of this primary segment.

We would seek to avoid articles with an excessively quantitative focus, although papers embellished with mathematical modeling, or backed up with econometrics based research are welcome. In the event of a paper being found otherwise suitable in terms of its focus area, it will be up to the editor to decide whether to accept an article with substantial mathematical content.

The journal will be published twice in a year, in March and September.

Subject to availability, each issue will consist of an interview with a prominent personality and a paper based on the perspectives of a leading intellectual. Management oriented cases, and minutes of round-table discussions will also be included. Each issue will include two to three book reviews and will have four to six full length articles. The suggested word length is 3,000 words.

The articles in a given issue would be a combination of both solicited and unsolicited works. Solicited articles and unsolicited works of general interest would be examined by the editors for expositional clarity. Unsolicited research based articles would be subject to a blind review process as determined by the editorial team.  Articles submitted for publication, which are deemed to be unfit in the opinion of the editors, will not be returned. Authors are required to ensure that articles submitted to the journal are not in the process of review elsewhere.

The journal will invite reputed academics, industry leaders and practitioners to be on the Editorial Board and Panel of Reviewers of the publication.
