Amulya Kulkarni, a second year student participated in the International Youth Forum Seliger 2011, held on the shore of Lake Seliger, Tver region from July 1 through July 9, 2011 under the auspices of the Federal Agency on Youth Affairs, Russian Federation. Seliger 2011 is an international eco-camp uniting outstanding young individuals – students and graduates from the leading universities, social activists, up-and-coming politicians, journalists, researchers and innovators from over 80 countries to discuss Global Politics, Civil and Social Development, Mass Media and Public Relations, Innovation and Enterprise with the world’s leading intellectuals, politicians, business people and opinion leaders

As an active participant of the Mass Media and Public Relations Module and Business Enterprise, Amulya was chosen for demonstrating great passion, motivation and leadership in bringing about a change in the society using media as a communication tool.

According to Amulya, it has been a great experience for her as she got the opportunity to interact with delegates from various countries and also to present her proposal of devising methods for alternate education in the Indian context that was highly appreciated in the Entrepreneurship Module. She says that it is an enchanting experience as she came back to India with an international assignment as the Indian Ambassador for Opportunity and a taste of every country’s culture.
