Talk on Team Collaboration

Mr. Ravi Bardia, Assistant Product Manager, Ujjivan Small Finance Bank, Bangalore, was the speaker for the Distinguished Talk of Orientation Program 2018 scheduled on July 7, 2018. Mr. Ravi focused his talk on ‘Team Collaboration in the Workplace’.

‘Employee empowerment in an organization is the key to progress’ said Mr. Ramesh Dasary, Business Transformation Consulting - HCM, Improwise, Bangalore, during the talk delivered to the second year PGDM students on July 7, 2018. The speaker referred to various allied aspects of Human Resources management in an organization.
 

Invited talk on Life and Career

‘Knowledge, skills and attitude are the three important resources in today’s day-to-day work and life’ thus said Mr. D.R. Nagaraj, CEO, NMS HR Solutions, Bangalore, during the invited talk delivered on July 6, 2018 during the Orientation Program 2018. Addressing the PGDM 2018-20 Batch, he discussed in detail about the important requirements an organisation looks for in an individual. The speaker also discussed on how to ensure that the life and the career go hand in hand.
 

Talk of Heritage City Mysuru

Mr. Krishnaswami, Chartered Engineer and Structural Consultant and octogenarian spoke about the heritage of Mysore during the invited talk delivered on July 6, 2018. Mysore has a rich heritage with developments on various fronts over the years.  
 

Invited talk by VP – ORACLE

The Day-3 of the Orientation Program 2018 started on July 6, 2018, with the distinguished talk by Mr Edwin Moses, Group Vice President, Oracle, Bangalore, who stressed on how learning is a lifelong endeavour. Mr. Moses listed few misconceptions about success principles and narrated a host of anecdotes and real-life examples.
 

Interactive Session on ‘Counselling and its need’

Counsellor and Trainer Ms. Ruchika Naidu addressed the new PGDM 2018-20 Batch on July 5, 2018. The interactive session covered the various aspects of counselling, such as ‘what is counselling?’, ‘Why people need counselling?’, and other myths about counselling.

Talk on ‘Indian Society in transmission’

Dr R. Indira, Ex- Professor, Department of Studies in Sociology, University of Mysore, Mysuru, gave a glimpse of changing environment of Indian Society during the distinguished talk delivered to the PGDM 2018-20 Batch on July 5, 2018. The talk addressed the social problems and discussed on how the society has undergone a change pertaining to – living style, behaviour, attitude, occupation, and socializing, through the years.
