Workshop on Social Media

SDMIMD, a premier B-school, located in Mysore is holding a one-day workshop on Social Media on their campus at the foot of Chamundi hills. This workshop aims to equip participants with the basic know-how on Social Media and familiarise them with Social Media tools to help expand their professional network.
The workshop will be facilitated by Prof. Malathi Sriram, Prof. Mohamed Minhaj and Prof. Neetu Ganapathy from SDMIMD. In addition, Mr. Advit Sahdev, CEO, ODigMa, Bangalore, a professional organization offering Brand Management & Marketing solutions on Social Media, will share his experiences on creating and maintaining a Social Media presence for a company. Mr. Vinay P., an entrepreneur and founder of Royal Mysore Walks, a Walking Tour company based in Mysore, will talk about how he leveraged Social Media to his entrepreneurial advantage. The workshop will be held on Friday, February 10, 2012 and will start at 9:30 AM at the SDMIMD campus. A registration fee of Rs. 1500/- will be charged per participant. In case of group registrations (of 3 or more), a 10% discount will be provided on registration fee. To provide the best, the group size is limited to 15 participants. |

Yakshagana organized by Kala Anubhav
| Kalaanubhav SDMIMD organized an event of traditional “Yakshagana”, on the 6th of September, in the institute’s auditorium. Folklore artists from Nidle Mahaganapathi Yakshagana Mandali led by Shri Ganapathi Bhat performed "Chakravyuha" picked up from Mahabharata, on the stage.It was a mesmerizing performance by the 23 renowned artists and kept the audience engaged for over two hours. The act seemed real with the energy levels depicted by the artists.
The event was blessed by the presence of the guests of honour, Prof. K Balachandra Gowda, Principal SDM MMK, Mysore and Dr. Satish Rai, a patron of arts. The Director of SDMIMD, Dr. N. R. Parasuraman and the faculty members also joined the general public and the students to be a part of the audience.The event concluded with a memento distribution ceremony for all the artists of the Mandali. |
