MDP on Statistical Methods for Machine Learning using Python

Brief Introduction

Machine learning is a process of studying the algorithms and statistical models that systems use to perform a task without explicit instructions. Statistical learning theory is a framework for machine learning drawing from the fields of statistics and functional analysis. Integration of machine learning and statistical learning has opened gates for new research and challenges.

With the developments in the technology and availability of abundant data, it has become a necessity for decision makers to use advanced statistical methods to churn the data and use the results for decision making. It is essential to get trained on these methods and choose the right method for the given situation. Another interesting aspect is continuous academic research, which gives out new methods and algorithms at regular time intervals. There is a necessity to build a platform that brings academia and the corporate at one place. This union will help both to arrive at common agreements and help in identifying new areas of research. Taking this need, we have designed the program.

Objective(s) of the Program

  • Discussion on statistical methods used in machine learning
  • Discussion the recent developments in these methods, discussion on new methods and new challenges
  • To train the participants on using Python for using the methods discussed

Targeted Audience: Corporates, Practitioners and others who are looking for training on statistical methods used in Machine learning.
