Dear Author,

The function of human capital management is changing significantly in the rapidly developing digital age. In response to the changing nature of the workforce, the globalization of the economy, and the rapid advancement of technology, HR leaders are adopting novel approaches and cutting-edge technologies to enhance organizational effectiveness and enable employees. Businesses are now compelled to embrace a new era of human capital, shifting from HR functioning as a transactional partner primarily focused on administrative tasks like payroll to HR becoming a crucial element of corporate decision-making.

In the above backdrop, Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Institute for Management Development (SDMIMD) has organized the 12th International HR Conference on “Navigating the Human Capital Management in the Digital Era”, on 19 and 20 December 2024, under the aegis of BCIC – SDMIMD Centre for Management Excellence. Academicians, management practitioners, consultants, research scholars, and students were invited to contribute their articles and papers on various contemporary HR topics. Here we are bringing out the edited volume of research articles and papers, presented in the said Conference.
