PGDM Batch 2010-12 |
The flagship program – Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) has been accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA).
The National Board of Accreditation (NBA) is an autonomous body constituted by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. NBA is setup to recognize institutions that offer quality education. The process of quality assurance ensures visible and demonstrable strategies of academic activities and objectives of the institutions. |

| Glimpses of International Study Tour |

The PGDM 2011-13 Batch Students visited Bangkok, Thailand as part of an International Study Tour. The study tour was organized to Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) at Bangkok. Students were taken in groups for a 5-day long visit. The entire visit for all the 170 students was spread across 3 weeks. As part of the Tour, an industry visit and lectures from professors at the Assumption University were organized by AIT. A total of six faculty members, two with each group accompanied the students. The learnings from the tour were submitted as a two-page report by individual students. |

The National Conference on “HR at the Modern Workplace” was held on 16 & 17, December 2011 at our campus. The conference attracted academicians, HR practitioners and students across the country. Out of 165 papers, 84 papers were considered for presentation by the editorial committee. The technical session was very interactive and informative. The event was well attended by invited dignitaries, delegates, paper presenters and students.

A One-day International symposium on the theme “Doing Business in India” will be held on January 9, 2012 at our campus. Leading corporate executives will be the key speakers in the symposium. Further, there will be a Round Table discussion on specific issues. The symposium will also have a student-interaction session involving SDMIMD and Texas A&M students who will be led by Dr. Julian Gaspar, Director, Center for International Business Studies & Clinical Professor of Finance, Mays Business School, Texas A&M University, USA.

BRICS Students' Visit to SDMIMD

SDMIMD, a member of Association of BRICS Business Schools (ABBS) will be the host for a team of students and faculty from Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa (BRICS) on February 16, 2012 for a Special Students' Meet. The interaction with SDMites will have sessions on culture, economy and business trends in BRICS countries.

Naissance 2012

As part of student activities at SDM Institute for Management Development (SDM-IMD), the college conducts NAISSANCE 2012, an annual National Level Management Festival. Naissance is an endeavour by the students of the Institute, to bring together the cream of contemporary B-school talent across the nation, for a test of the best. Naissance brings together the finest of B-school talent - students and corporate executives - from all over the country, to vie for victory on an open stage. The theme for Naissance 2012 is "Management Stalwarts". Doyens of management have pervaded our mind spaces with everlasting principles of management. These principles are the lampposts that have guided entrepreneurs and businessmen over several decades. Naissance 2012 celebrates these stalwarts whose vision continues to guide management practices.

Cinematics 2012

SDMIMD is hosting its first ever photography and short film competitions, Cinematics 2012, this year. To participate in the short film contest, you have to submit any short film of duration 1 minute to 15 minutes. The theme for the photography contest is "Life is Beautiful". Submissions are being accepted from now until 11:59 PM on January 23, 2012, . The winner of the short film competition will take home Rs. 20, 000 in prize money while the winner of the photography contest will win Rs. 10,000. Selected creatives will be showcased in the theatre, art gallery and Facebook page of SDMIMD, Mysore on January 28, 2012. To know more,
