| Convergence 3i – The Industry Institute Interface |

| SDMIMD in collaboration with Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) Mysore Chapter organized Convergence 3i on October 7, 2014 at SDMIMD Auditorium. The event was organized to create a platform for interface between the recruiting industries and job aspirant students to share each other’s perspectives. Convergence 3i attracted more than 150 final year students from engineering, degree and management colleges in Mysore.

| 2-Day Workshop on B2B Consultative Sales Management |

Mr. Aditya Vidyarthi, National Sales Manager, Dassault Systems was the resource person for the 2-Day Workshop on B2B Consultative Sales Workshop held on October 25 & 26, 2014. Mr. Vidyarthi opined that mastering sales is a never ending journey, which requires some serious effort, perseverance and specific approach. The structured program helped the students to gain insights into the actual world of consultative selling. The workshop introduced the world acclaimed concepts of SPIN Selling and Customer Centric Selling methods and aimed to enhance the thinking abilities of a management graduate to make him sell scientifically and become a trusted adviser to his customers.

| Agony of progeny when India failed Bhopal |
|
The guest talk on October 14, 2014 by Mr. Satinath Sarangi (Sathyu) was an eye opener for the young managers at SDMIMD on how to think the concept ‘Corporate Social Responsibility’ sensibly. The talk was scheduled after the play “Agony of progeny: when India failed Bhopal” featured on the 30 year old Bhopal Gas tragedy, which was one of the world's worst industrial disasters. The student interaction triggered the discourse on the issues in Bhopal, corporate accountability and environmental justice. Mr. Sathyu, a prominent activist and leader of the campaign for justice for the Bhopal victims, has been engaged with the healthcare of the gas and water affected survivors of Bhopal Gas Tragedy. |

Mr. Pramod Grama, Founder & Executive Vice President, SPAN System was the invited speaker on October 11, 2014. He spoke on Entrepreneurship. In his talk, Mr. Pramod shared the success story of SPAN from its humble beginning to its present international stature. The essential characteristics of entrepreneurs were brought out with the personal experience and anecdotes from the speaker. An interactive session followed the talk. |

An invited talk by Dr. Anil K. Ramshesh, on "Product Development" was organized on October 11, 2014 for SDMites. In his talk, Dr. Anil stressed on the need for integrative approach in product development. He opined that 'there will not be any need to revisit the product concept after reaching the prototype stage in integrative approach'. The Q & A session of the talk discussed the different dimensions of product development. |

SDMIMD is organizing International Conferences in the area of Finance, Economics and Global Finance in various parts of the country and abroad in collaboration with J.A. Alpha Business Research Publishers Pvt. Ltd., India. The first in this series was held in Chennai during July 11 to 13, 2014, Second at Singapore during August 1 to 3, 2014 and the Third at Dubai during October 10-12, 2014.
The fourth conference in this series - "Global Business, Economics, Finance and Social Sciences" on the theme Reviving Economic Growth! is scheduled during December 19 to 21, 2014 in Mumbai. Venue: VITS Hotel, Andheri Kurla Road, International Airport Zone, Andheri (E), Mumbai.
