Alumni Networking Team of SDMIMD (ANTS) Committee

The ANTS (Alumni Networking Team of SDMIMD) committee is dedicated to strengthening the bond between alumni and the institution, fostering a dynamic and supportive network for both current students and alumni. Our core mission is to create meaningful opportunities for engagement by facilitating alumni interactions through guest talks, panel discussions, and placement support initiatives. Events like Alumni Conclave, Alumni Connect, and networking sessions ensure that students benefit from the rich professional experience of our alumni, while alumni stay connected to the campus community. We also collaborate closely with alumni to provide mentorship, internships, and career guidance for students, thus bridging the gap between academics and industry. By organizing regular meetups, both on-campus and virtual, and maintaining active communication channels, the ANTS committee plays a pivotal role in ensuring that SDMIMD’s alumni community remains vibrant and engaged.

The Mess Committee at SDMIMD, known as “PAAKASHAALE”, is a student-led body responsible for overseeing all dining operations on campus. This committee ensures that meals served are nutritious, diverse, and cater to the cultural preferences of the student community. Its key roles include menu planning, ensuring food quality and hygiene, resolving student feedback, and managing mess operations smoothly. Paakashaale also organizes events such as food carnival and cultural feasts like Ganesha Chaturthi, enhancing community spirit through shared dining experiences. The committee fosters leadership, teamwork, and accountability among its members, reflecting a student-centric approach in every aspect of mess management.

Team Laksh, the sports committee of SDMIMD, is committed to engaging the campus in an active and dynamic lifestyle through a diverse range of sporting events held throughout the year. From Mixed Box Cricket, Marathon, Throwball, Volleyball, Football, Badminton, and Table Tennis, to our flagship event, the SDMIMD Premier League (SPL), we ensure that there is something for everyone to participate in, promoting teamwork, fitness, and a spirit of healthy competition. SPL, in particular, serves as a major highlight, uniting the entire campus in vibrant and energetic participation. Additionally, during the national management fest, we honor tradition by organizing a chess tournament in memory of Rathnamma Heggade, which adds a strategic and intellectual element to our sports offerings.
