Doctoral Program
The Doctoral Program [Ph.D.] of SDMIMD conducted by SDM Research Center for Management Studies (SDM RCMS) is recognized by University of Mysore, Mysore in the area of Management Studies. The admission and process of the doctoral programs is as per the regulations of the University of Mysore, Mysore. The Regulations Governing the Award of Degree of Doctor of Philosophy [Ph.D.] 2010 of University of Mysore, Mysore govern the doctoral program of SDMRCMS, SDMIMD, Mysore.
Who can apply?
Persons who fulfill any of the following eligibility criteria
- Master’s Degree or equivalent Diploma from a recognized University or Institution which has as equivalent thereto, with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA).
- Executives with an experience of at least 3 years in Industry or allied sector in corporate sector, subject to the fulfillment of Sl. No. 1.
- Faculty member of a B-School or Management Department of College or University, subject to the fulfillment of Sl. No. 1.
- Post Graduate Diplomas in specific disciplines such as retailing, finance, marketing, HR and other allied courses, subject to the fulfillment of Sl. No. 1.

SDMIMD is a unique management institution that has pioneered a philosophy of management education that is Indian in ethos and global in relevance. Being known for its flagship program – Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) has widened the scope by offering Doctoral Research Program in Management Studies. Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Research Center for Management Studies (SDM RCMS), the research unit of SDMIMD has been recognized as Research Center by the University of Mysore, Mysore (UOM) to offer Doctoral [Ph.D.] Programs.
SDMRCMS extends the professional guidance and assistance to the research aspirants in the area of Management Studies and the successful research works will be awarded the doctoral degree by respective universities. The objective of this centre is to promote a variety of research and scholarly initiatives in the field of management. It is envisaged that, SDM RCMS would help in growing the intellectual capital, not only within the Institute, but also provide a platform to broaden their research initiatives at various levels in times to come.
