Rajagiri Centre for Business Studies, Kakkanad, Kochi had organised ‘In Banglore 2015’, a National Level Management fest on 15 & 16 October 2015.
A team of 16 students from 1st year, SDMIMD, participated in 5 events, namely Best Manager, Best Management Team, Marketing, Finance and HR.
Mr. Arvind Bharadwaj for Best Manager, Mr. Srikanth Kodkol, Mr. Chaitanya Gaddam, Mr. Vivin Varghese and Mr. Karthik.M.Nair for Best Management Team, Ms. Shwetha Kotian, Mr. Gagan Chengappa M.N., Mr. Gowrav Gopi and Mr. Amol Rachit Goel for Marketing.
Mr. Ankit Sanghani, Mr. Narendran, Ms. Thamburu N Sanan and Mr. Vijesh M V, have won the first prize in the finance game "Rabban". The event comprised of 6 rounds, which was a deluge of financial problems based on a variety of financial aspects that would be best described as the 'Technical's' of Finance.
Ms. Hannah Priyadarshini B, Mr. Krishna Arun, Ms. Shushma Chengappa have won the second prize in the HR game "Afonso". The event comprised of various HR activities such as recruitment ad, exit interview and case study.

SDMIMD conducted Essay Competition on the theme “YOUR UNFORGETTABLE TEACHER” organized during October 2015. Considering the content, likes for the submission, in social media and remarks from the evaluators, following candidates have been considered as winners of the event.

The Mysore Dasara is a major event in Mysore calendar. In keeping with the Mysuru Tradition, SDMIMD celebrated this festival in style. As part of this, SDMites organized Saraswati Pooja. The faculty, staff and students participated in Aarti which was followed by Durga Puja celebration. After the Durga Puja, it was a perfect occasion for the Bengalis to treat the whole college to a Bengali style feast.

Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Institute for Management Development (SDMIMD) Mysuru conducted the First National Conference on Consumer behaviour - Contemporary Issues & Emerging Trends on October 30th 2015. The Conference was inaugurated by Mr. Srikanth Srinivasan, Director- HR, Cognizant Technology solutions. While delivering the Key note address Mr. Srikanth Srinivasan focused on various aspects of Consumer behaviour, its multidisciplinary nature and the emerging trends in consumer behaviour across industry sectors like financial services, retail etc. The Conference witnessed participation from academics research scholars and industry analysts from various parts of the country. The one day conference has research papers which are conceptual and empirical focusing on contemporary developments in consumer behaviour. The valedictory special address was delivered by Dr. Stephen Aro-Gordon, Dept. Chair of Financial Mathematics, Baze University, Nigeria.

As a part of the exchange arrangement that SDMIMD has with the University of Shanghai, 17 students from SHU MBA, headed by their Deputy Chief Program Officer Ms. Jieting Xing were at SDM IMD Mysuru for a week. In accordance with the rationale of the Study Tour, the aim of which is to foster an understanding of academics supported with industry visits, the team from Shanghai University underwent special sessions by the SDMIMD faculty and also visited several industrial units in and around Mysore. TVS Motors, Infosys and Skanray Technologies Pvt Ltd., were some of the companies that were visited. The B-School survey results released recently by key magazines which publishes B-School survey every year – Business Standard, Competition Success Review (CSR), Outlook and The Week has listed SDMIMD among the Top 50 B-Schools in India again.
