Heilbronn University Scholarship to SDMite
Mr Amit Kumar Sharma of PGDM 2019-21 batch has been selected for the International Student Exchange Scholarship from Heilbronn University, Germany. The selection is based on his Academic Performance and interview conducted by the academic committee for the International Student Exchange Program. Amit will be studying for a whole term in Heilbronn. He is the first Indian student that Heilbronn Univ
Student Exchange Program 2020
As part of the students exchange program 29 select students will be visiting eight different international foreign universities for a whole term of study. During the program SDMIMD students will be studying with many international students and get taught by several faculty from different nationalities. The experience of having different pedagogy is invaluable for their growth. Besides the facility to do cases and projects with students of other nationalities and background affords cross-cultural understanding. Further, the evaluation technique used in these schools enables students to be on their toes and prove their mettle.

Workshop by Exchange Faculty from France
Prof. Charlotte Fontan Sers, Professor of Economics, ESC Pau Business School, France, conducted 3-Day Workshop on “Global Responsibility / Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship” during January 21 to 23, 2020, for select students of PGDM 2019-21 Batch at MDP Hall, SDMIMD.
International Symposium 2020
SDMIMD organized the International Symposium 2020 on January 3, 2020. Prof. Devi Singh, Former Director of Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow delivered the keynote address during this annual event and opined that India’s growth in post-independence and the challenges and possible solutions for the issues confronting the economy. The symposium was organized to coincide with the annual visit of students and faculty from Mays Business School, Texas A&M.
Earlier, the Director of the institute Dr. N.R. Parasuraman delivered the welcome address and presented the need for faculty-student exchange programs in any higher education institute. Dr Parasuraman gave an overview of the international reach out including international tie-up, international accreditation, international conferences and faculty-student exchanges at SDMIMD.
Dr Akshaya Srinivasan, Professor of Marketing, Mays Business School, Texas A&M University, US, accompanying the team from U.S, made preliminary remarks. Dr Neetu Ganapathy, Faculty – Systems and Business Communication and Coordinator gave an overview of the events planned during the symposium. The inaugural session was followed by the interaction and knowledge sharing sessions between the students of SDMIMD and Texas A&M University. The cultural program by both the institute students were scheduled post-lunch.
Earlier in the week, the visiting students had a visit to companies of different sectors and interaction with the heads of the organizations.
Exchange Program Visit to BUiD, Dubai by Prof. Gandhi
Prof. L. Gandhi, Faculty – OB/HR, SDMIMD, visited British University in Dubai (BUiD), Dubai during October 21 to 23, 2019 on a Faculty Exchange Program (FEP). Prof. Gandhi conducted the sessions for MBA Program in the University. Students of the program are the working executives who are pursuing their MBA from BUiD. The sessions focused on Organization Behaviour (OB) covering the global scenario. Several case studies and situations from Indian scenario were introduced to the students.
Visit of EAE Business School team, Spain
As part of the exchange arrangement that SDMIMD has with EAE Business School, Spain, a group of 5 students and 1 faculty spent a whole two weeks in July, at Mysore. The delegation was headed by Alexia de la Morena Gómez, Director of the Master in Marketing and Commercial Management (Groups B and C), EAE, Spain.
The program was scheduled from July 15 to 26, 2019. The program was packed with industry visits, socially relevant projects, academic sessions and the visit to heritage sites. The students had a chance to learn about exploring the business opportunities in the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME).
Side by side, they were exposed to social projects. Teaming with SDMIMD students, the overseas students were divided into groups and made to study specific projects, in respect of which a final report will be presented by them. The visit also had a couple of corporate visits and interaction.
