First Edition of Annual Business Conclave 2026

Annual Business Conclave 2026, the first edition of its kind at SDMIMD, Mysuru, was successfully conducted on September 11, 2026. The conclave aimed to strengthen the connection between academia and industry through meaningful interactions with corporate leaders. Dr. (Lt. Col.) Prasad S. N., Director, SDMIMD, highlighted the importance of applying management knowledge to real-world business situations. Dr. Mohamed Minhaj, Dean – Academics and Professor – Systems, emphasised the evolving business landscape shaped by AI, uncertainty and global transformation. The conclave featured a series of engaging sessions designed to provide students with practical industry insights and leadership perspectives.A Fireside Chat explored emerging opportunities for young leaders and managers in an evolving Indian business environment.

A Master Panel Discussion examined opportunities for Indian businesses amid global challenges and rapid technological change. The Young Leaders Forum featured SDMIMD alumni who shared their leadership journeys, experiences and professional challenges. The sessions highlighted the importance of adaptability, continuous learning, leadership, people management and industry readiness. The Annual Business Conclave 2026 provided students with valuable exposure to real-world business perspectives and strengthened the institute’s industry–academia engagement.
