Dr. Neetu Ganapathy is an Associate Professor at the SDM Institute for Management Development (SDMIMD). With over 27 years of experience in teaching and training, her expertise encompasses Interpersonal Communication, Cross-Cultural Communication, Business Presentations, Happiness Studies and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Implementation for Small and Medium Enterprises. She shares insights on communication through her blog, I Wish I Could Speak Like That (iwishicouldspeaklikethat.blog). Her teaching experience was further enriched by her role as an adjunct faculty member at Shanghai University, where she received the Outstanding Teacher award in 2017.
Dr. Ganapathy has conducted programs on Interpersonal Communication and Leadership for employees of prestigious organizations including Meritor, Automotive Axles Ltd., Mypol, India Post, Karnataka Police Academy, Wuerth Electronik, Sundaram Home Finance, and Skanray Technologies. She is also skilled in engaging international audiences, having taught Cross-Cultural Communication to students from various countries such as China, Spain, the USA, Portugal, Germany, the Middle East and Africa.
Dr. Ganapathy began her career at Aptech Ltd., excelling as an IT and Soft Skills trainer. She broadened her horizons by working as an IT project consultant with Softgate Technologies in San Jose, California. Since joining SDMIMD in 2004, she has undertaken various significant roles, including Chairperson PGDM, Chairperson Summer Placements, and Head of Student Activities. Additionally, she is an active member of the CII Women Network Panel, which works to empower women through networking and professional development initiatives.
Dr. Ganapathy holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Mysore, an MDBA from Symbiosis Institute for Management Studies, Pune and a Doctorate in Business Administration from Kuvempu University, Karnataka, where her research focused on ERP implementation challenges for SMEs. Some of her papers and case studies have been published in both national and international journals. She is a Certified Laughter Yoga Leader from Laughter Yoga International, reflecting her commitment to holistic well-being.
