This is the most illustrious committee among the students of SDMIMD. They get a feel of this committee even while aspiring to be one among the few out of numerous aspirants who get admissions to the institute. The committee is dedicated to attract the best talent vying for a professional education in Management. The committee is dedicated to resolve queries by potential candidates vide online forums. The committee works along with the management of SDMIMD by communicating various grievances and issues faced by the aspirants. It acts as a bridge between the aspirants and SDMIMD. Alumni Networking Team of SDMIMD (ANTS) Committee | |||||||
SDMIMD Alumni Network (ANTS) aims to foster strong ties between the institute and its alumni. As part of this, the alumni are kept informed about the happenings in the institute. The committee organizes “Pratigam”, the annual alumni meet of SDMIMD and is also in charge of inviting alumni for guest lectures and interactions with students. The committee, in collaboration with Dimensions interviews alumni, the transcript of which is published in the following Dimensions issue. The committee also conducts various other activities for alumni which promotes their active participation.”

The current affairs are a committee consisting of 5 core members and 13 committee members started on 15 June 2021. The committee focus on the current affairs on subjects like science, technology, banking, politics and other relevant topic of discussion.

“Dimensions” is the official magazine of SDMIMD. It gives the students a proper platform to showcase their writing skills and other general interests other than curricular topics. The cover story reflects the contemporary issue and will be the most awaited part of the issue to the readers. It also has interviews from the business industry which will be of great help to the reader to hone his/her skills and be industry ready. Book reviews are also included to cater to book lovers and to help others inculcate the habit of reading. The magazine also has articles written by students on diverse topics which will surely enhance the knowledge base of the reader. On a whole Dimensions is a crisp copy to enlighten a management student’s horizon.

Drishti is a photography and cinematography committee. It is a platform for people to see the various activities and events held at SDMIMD. We capture various events such as guest lectures by imminent personalities, national and international conferences, inter-college competitions, cultural events, festivals and other management events that take place in the college campus.We conducts photography workshops and also showcase various inspirational movies and documentaries so that the students can reduce their stress and learn simultaneously. The Entrepreneurship Cell is a place for all those who avoid taking beaten paths and believe in leaving trails in all walks of life. E-cell not only shows the doors of opportunity but it also helps walk through it by providing options such as funding mentoring, networking with other entrepreneurs, frequent interactive sessions and Competitions.
It is a firm belief behind idea of Entrepreneurship Cell that original thoughts and radical ideas take shape in young minds. Students are the greatest natural resource and the Cell intends to nurture them and provide them with opportunities for excellence. It is the cherished dream of members of SDM-IMD E-cell to be job providers rather than job seekers.

Environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) Committee | |||||||
The ESG Committee in SDMIMD is a platform for those who believe in the interconnectedness of environmental sustainability, social responsibility, and effective governance practices. We actively collaborate with local schools, and communities to promote sustainable practices. Through initiatives like visiting government schools and interacting with students, we inspire the younger generation to become environmental stewards and socially responsible citizens. Throughout the academic year, we host a series of events and campaigns focused on sustainable practices. These include tree-planting drives, recycling campaigns, energy conservation initiatives, and awareness campaigns on pressing social issues.

L.I.F.E.@School committee is an initiative undertaken by the group of students in SDMIMD with the aim of setting up a library at Govt. Adarsha Vidyalaya school. After successfully accomplishing its very first project, the team voluntarily came up with initiates and started conducting various activities for the school students in order to enhance the quality of education and create awareness on various other aspects of education. Apart from all these, the team organises competitions and knowledge-based activities among the students to make knowledge learning an enriching experience for them. LIFE committee strives to uplift the quality of education in government schools and highlight the importance of a library to all.

MediaScape Committee | |||||||
The Mediascape committee has been formed to liaise with and facilitate interaction with digital media and to ensure publicity for the institute at various events. Through the endeavour of mediascape, it has helped the institute garner a strong media presence on Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn and Instagram. Apart from these, the committee motivates and stimulates the faculties and students to publish their writings on the official media pages. It works towards creating an effective channel of information through sharing of relevant and useful information on key topics like admissions and all the college events on social networks to engage the huge viewership that the social media handles of the college possess. The committee acts as a bridge between the SDMIMD, corporates, and various other institutions.

Mess committee are the people who run the mess at college. Unlike many other colleges, here we believe that food is a major part of our academics and we give great importance to the food we serve here. Mess committee people decide upon the Menu for the week, in advance after analysing the student needs and market availability. We ensure that the right food is served each day, throughout the year. Samprati Committee | |||||||
Samprati is the event management committee in SDMIMD. At the beginning of each academic year, Samprati organizes “Khoj”, which is an event where the first year students get a chance to showcase their talents by participating in different competitions. It provides a platform for the first year students to know each other better through group activities. It organizes “Abhigyaan”, which is one of the biggest events in the SDMIMD calendar as it attracts undergraduate students from the best colleges in South India and gives them a peek into the life in a B-school through various competitions. Samprati also tries to give a great farewell to the second year students at the end of their course by organizing the Farewell Day. As such, Samprati makes an effort to make the life of the students memorable and ensure that they will take away great memories.
