| The IT Panel of CII, Mysuru had organized a Stakeholders Interaction on E-Waste Management at SDMIMD on 21 June 2019. The objective of the meeting was to advocate the safe disposal of e-waste and to devise an efficient and sustainable model for management of the e-waste generated in Mysuru. Mr. Shankar Prasad, Vertical Head of Excelsoft Technologies Pvt Ltd and convener IT Panel, welcomed the participants and coordinated the program. Dr. H. Gayathri, Deputy Director, SDMIMD made her opening remarks about the theme of the program. The program was presided by the chairman of CII Mysore, Mr. Bhaskar Kalale. Dr. A. Ramesh, Senior Environmental Officer, KSPCB, Bangalore presented the rules and regulations in E-Waste Management. Dr. P. M. Kulkarni, President of Bhageerath spoke about the issues and challenges related to e-waste management. Dr. Nagaraj, Health Officer, Mysore City Corporation, delivered the keynote address. The program, which was attended by 90 delegates, concluded with an interactive session, moderated by members of CII IT Panel, Mr. Sudheer and Mr. Rakesh Babu. Mr. Raghava Lingegowda, Group Vertical Head, Theorem Inc., proposed the vote of thanks. |
