In his stint of 20+ years in the industry working for reputed companies like IBM, Infosys, Cognizant and a start-up, he has played a range of roles including Principal Architect, Principal Consultant, Solutions Delivery Manager, and Product Engineering Lead, responsible for solution prototyping, technology evaluation, architecture definition and delivery of large projects and products predominantly based on Java and web technologies. All through this period, he has focused on leveraging the latest technology and emerging software engineering practices for business advantage and differentiation through use of reusable assets, engineering best practices, tools and automation. He also was actively involved in training software development teams to harness these practices in projects.
 

Earlier, he served as an Assistant Professor of Computer Science and Engineering at SJ College of Engineering, while also serving as a consultant for several IT projects of the Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Karnataka. He worked at Wipro Infotech and the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) as a hardware design and test engineer prior to the term in academics.

He holds a Masters degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur and a Bachelors degree in Electronics and Communications from SJ College of Engineering, Mysore.
