SDMIMD Concludes Customised MDP for Kaynes Technology India Ltd.

SDMIMD successfully concluded the three-month Customised Management Development Program (CMDP) on Finance for Non-Finance Executives, MIS, and Communication for Kaynes Technology India Ltd., on October 25, 2025.

M/s. Kaynes Technology India Ltd., a leading electronics manufacturing solutions provider headquartered in Mysuru, collaborated with SDMIMD to design and deliver this specialized executive education initiative. The valedictory ceremony was held at the SDMIMD campus and graced by Dr. N. Muthu Kumar, Managing Director, Kaynes Technology; Dr. Prasad S.N., Director, SDMIMD; and Dr. Nanda Kishore Shetty, Chairperson – Corporate & External Training Programs, SDMIMD. Faculty resource persons from SDMIMD and mid to senior-level executives from Kaynes Technology attended the event.

The three-month program was delivered through a series of intensive weekend sessions, combining interactive pedagogy and applied learning. The curriculum was carefully curated to strengthen financial acumen, managerial decision-making, and communication effectiveness among technical professionals transitioning into leadership roles.

This collaborative initiative underscores SDMIMD’s commitment to fostering strong industry–academia partnerships and delivering impactful executive education that aligns with organizational growth and leadership development goals. It also reflects Kaynes Technology’s visionary approach to continuous learning and capability enhancement for its workforce.

The program is expected to significantly enhance managerial competencies, bridge functional knowledge gaps, and empower participants to contribute effectively to the strategic objectives of Kaynes Technology.

SDMIMD Inaugurates Customised Management Development Programme for Kaynes Technology Executives

SDM Institute for Management Development (SDMIMD), Mysuru, commenced a Customised Management Development Programme (MDP) tailored for M/s. Kaynes Technology Ltd., a leading electronics manufacturing solutions provider headquartered in Mysuru. The inaugural session was held on July 12, 2025, at the SDMIMD campus and was graced by senior leadership from both institutions, including Ms. Savitha Ramesh, Chairperson, and Mr. Ramesh Kannan, Managing Director of Kaynes Technology, alongside faculty members from SDMIMD. Designed specifically for 31 mid- to senior-level executives from Kaynes Technology, this three-month programme will comprise 45 hours of intensive learning, delivered through a series of interactive sessions conducted on weekends. The curriculum has been thoughtfully curated to address the evolving managerial development needs of technical professionals transitioning into broader leadership roles.

The core focus areas of the programme include Finance for Non-Finance Executives, equipping participants with financial acumen critical for cross-functional decision-making, Business Communication, aimed at enhancing managerial clarity and effectiveness, and Management Information Systems (MIS), emphasizing the strategic use of information systems in operational and executive decision processes. The initiative underscores SDMIMD’s ongoing commitment to fostering industry-academia collaboration and delivering impactful executive education that aligns with organizational development goals. It also reflects Kaynes Technology’s forward-looking approach to leadership development and talent capability enhancement. The MDP is expected to significantly enhance managerial competencies, bridge knowledge gaps, and support the participants in contributing more effectively to the strategic objectives of Kaynes Technology Ltd.

Corporate Management Development Programme (CMDP) for the Rane Group of Companies

The fourth batch of 32 participants from the Rane Group of companies took part in the Corporate Management Development Programme (CMDP), at SDMIMD, on June 24th and 25th, 2024. The CEO of Rane Madras, Mrs. Gowri Kailasam, and the Director of SDMIMD, Dr. S.N. Prasad, inaugurated the CMDP sessions on the Young Leadership Development Program.

During the inaugural address, Mrs. Gowri Kailasam emphasized the significance of learning and development as a means of advancing in the manufacturing sector for the selected employees. The top management of the Rane Group implemented these programs, underscoring their seriousness. Dr. S.N. Prasad stressed the importance of leadership, managerial styles, and developing decision-making skills. The program was supervised by Dr. Nanda Kishore Shetty, Chairperson of MDP/FDP and Company-Specific Programs at SDMIMD, Mysore.

CMDP for Wurth Electronics employees

The Corporate Management Development Program (CMDP) was conducted for the first batch of 18 participants from Wuerth Electronic. The CMDP sessions started from June 27th, 2022, to October 10th, 2022, at the SDMIMD and Wuerth Elektronik Mysore campuses. A workshop was organized on August 4, 2023, at SDMIMD which marked the conclusion of CMDP.
