2-Day FDP on Teaching Methodology

 
A 2-Day Faculty Development Program (FDP) on 'Teaching Methodology' was organized during December 6 & 7, 2018 at MDP Hall, SDMIMD. The sessions were planned for the faculty members from undergraduates and post-graduate colleges. The program was inaugurated by Dr. N.R. Parasuraman, Director, SDMIMD, on December 6, 2018, at MDP Hall, SDMIMD. 
 
The 2-Day program commenced with the session on 'Course Outlines and Planning for Sessions' by Dr. R. Jagadeesh, Professor - Operations, SDMIMD; followed by the session on 'Teaching Marketing' delivered by Dr. H. Gayathri, Dean Academics and Professor - Marketing, SDMIMD.
 
The post-lunch session by Dr. Neetu Ganapathy, Faculty - Communication and Systems, presented the session on 'Teaching Business Communication'; the approach to teaching finance was presented by Dr. N.R. Parasuraman, Director and Professor - Finance, during the session 'Know Finance'; the 'Case Method Teaching and Analysis' was deliberated by Prof. Rajendra Todalbagi, Faculty - Operations, SDMIMD. 
 
The Day-2 commenced with the session by Prof. M. Minhaj, Faculty - Systems, SDMIMD on Introduction to Analytics and Use of Technology in Teaching'; this was followed by the session by Dr. Mousumi Sengupta and Dr. Nilanjan Sengupta, Professor(s) in the area of HR / OB, on 'Teaching HRM'. The post-lunch session commenced with the art of 'Teaching Strategy with a Case Study' approach by Dr. (Lt.Col). S.N. Prasad, Professor - Strategy and General Management, SDMIMD; the concluding session on 'Teaching Quantitative Techniques' was presented by Dr. Srilakshminarayana, Faculty - Statistics, SDMIMD.
