On May 31, 2024, SDMIMD, Mysore, successfully conducted a Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on "Innovative Teaching Methods." The program attracted academicians from across India, with all participants actively engaging in this hands-on event. Dr. SN Prasad, Director of SDMIMD, inaugurated the FDP, emphasizing the importance of innovative teaching methods that leverage creativity and modern tools for effective knowledge impartation. Dr. Nanda Kishore Shetty, the FDP/MDP Chairperson, supervised the event. The sessions were led by esteemed faculty members of SDMIMD. Dr. Mousumi Sengupta conducted sessions on the background, types, and methodologies of innovative teaching methods, as well as on role play and case study methods. Dr. Sunil MV led sessions on the introduction to artificial intelligence, designing AI-based student assignments, and developing AI policies and assessment methods. The FDP received high praise from participants, who expressed their gratitude and provided positive feedback. |
