Online Blended Learning - BLCPM

The formal launch of the Blended Learning Certificate Program in Management (BLCPM) designed by SDMIMD in association with TCS iON, was carried out at the TCS Banyan Park complex in Mumbai on November 7, 2017. Shri. Venguswamy Ramaswamy, Global Head of TCS iON, Shri. D. Surendra Kumar, Vice President , Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Educational (SDME) Trust, Dr. N R Parasuraman, Director SDMIMD, Shri. Venkat Rap Mallineni, Head of iON Education TCS and Prof. Mohamed Minhaj, Associate Professor, Systems SDMIMD were present.

Set of highly relevant management courses is offered as Blended Learning Certificate Program in Management (BLCPM), which involves online learning from the TCS iON platform as well as Pre and Post Workshops to be held at the Institute.

Commencement of Doctoral Program at SDMIMD

The first batch of the Doctoral Program [Ph.D.] of SDMIMD, conducted its research unit SDM Research Center for Management Studies (SDM RCMS) has commenced on 3 September 2016. The program is recognized by University of Mysore. SDMIMD is a unique management institution that has pioneered a philosophy of management education, which has been both Indian in ethos, and, global in relevance.  Being known for its flagship program – Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) from past 22 years, has widened the scope by offering Doctoral Research Program in Management Studies. 
 
Dr. N. R. Parasuraman, Director – SDMIMD addressed the gathering on the occasion. He emphasized on the need for original research in the field of management. He also pointed out that, a research scholar should look at things differently and accept changes in perspectives, while conducting the research work. Dr. Mousumi Sengupta, Chairperson - RCMS​,​ welcomed the scholars and emphasized that, a researcher must be self-driven in conducting a meaningful research work. The Ph.D. program seeks to build on the current strengths and activities of the Institute in terms of conferences, publications, research and interaction, with scholars from the world over. Dr. Sunil M.V. coordinated the program. Faculty members and staff of SDMIMD were present on the occasion.​

Applications Invited for Ph.D. Program

SDM Research Center for Management Studies (SDM RCMS), the research unit of Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Institute for Management Development (SDMIMD) & the research center recognized by the University of Mysore, Mysuru, has invited applications for the Doctoral Program (Ph.D.) from eligible candidates for the Doctoral (Ph.D.) Program. 
 
The MBA graduates who have qualified the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the University Grants Commission (UGC) OR passed the Ph.D. Entrance Exam conducted by University of Mysore, Mysuru, may apply. CPBM for SkanRay Technologies

SDM IMD commenced the Certificate Program in Business Management (CPBM) for the employees of SkanRay Technologies Pvt. Ltd., on 31 August 2015. The Inaugural Session was held in the MDP Hall at 5.30 pm. Prof. Malathi Sriram, Chairperson – Academic Programs, welcomed the participants. 
Mr. Vishwaprasad Alva, Managing Director, SkanRay Technologies and Mr. Ravikumar, the Manager-HR at SkanRay Technologies were present on the occasion.  The Inaugural session was also graced by the Director SDMIMD, Dr. N.R Parasuraman, Deputy Director Dr. H Gayathri and other faculty members. 
Speaking in his welcome address Dr. N.R Parasuraman, emphasized on the amalgamation of the employee experience with the structured theoretical framework of the classroom would be a great learning for the participants. Mr. Vishwaprasad Alva stressed on the need for such programs for the mid-level executives that will enhance their contemporaneous industry knowledge.

Certificate Program for Skanray

A Certificate Program in Business Management (CPBM) will commence for the select employees of Skanray Technologies in 2nd Week of August 2015. This client specific program includes modules on finance, operations, marketing, HRM, IT, general management and quantitative methods. The program of 9 months will culminate with the award of certificate to the participants.

Launch of PGCPME Program

​SDMIMD is launching the Postgraduate Certificate Program in Management and Entrepreneurship (PGCPME) for graduates. The course effectively acts as a bridge offering in between the graduation course and the flagship PGDM of the Institute. The wide array of subjects in the course would enable candidates to get a flavour of a wider array of knowledge that is needed in a Management program. ​

Dual Certification Program: PGDM-PGCPM
Applications are invited for the 2-year part time dual certificate PGDM_PGCPM program.  On successful completion of the progam, candidates get the AICTE-recognized PGDM as well as the special certification from SDMIMD (PGCPM).  The general structure of the PGDM-PGCPM program is designed to enable working executives to adapt to the changing requirements, challenges and opportunities of the corporate scenario. . The Program is Module based. The Program consists of 4 modules of 6 months each. Each Module has a number of courses. AIMA awards Modular certifications after the completion of each module. NSE Certified Capital Markets Professional (NCCMP) Program

The NSE Certified Capital Markets Professional (NCCMP) Program is run by the National Stock Exchange (NSE) in collaboration with Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Institute for Management Development (SDMIMD), Mysore. The program spread over a duration of one year endeavours to inculcate practical aspects of Capital Markets, preparing the participants for exciting roles in the field of Equity Research, Merchant Banking, Portfolio Advisory, and allied areas. The program has an eclectic mix of theoretical and hands-on sessions exposing participants to all the essential areas of study. The program is enriched with an on-site visit to NSE where the participants learn about the operational and strategic aspects involved in trading in securities markets. Upon successful completion of the program, participants are awarded the NCCMP Charter that is much acclaimed by employers of the Financial Markets industry.
